The fundamental concept of "eating" is rather difficult to comprehend. Even moreso in regards to the portions involved in "eating". Is it too much, too little? Just right? Goldie Locks couldn't get it, luckily those bears were nice enough to guide her in the right direction. Anyways getting back to your disorder (difficulty, what have you), I'd say work on it, maybe you too can strive to watch NASCAR on the couch while taking up 3 cushions and eating bag upon bag of potato chips.
The point of the study was not that eating more makes you fat. The point of the study was that people will eat larger portions if they are given to them. It's not crucial research, but it's hardly pointless. It's applicable to food portioning at fast food restaurants, for example (and all of those "super size" things).
The moral of the story is, "don't eat everything on your plate, it will just make you fat, your mother was wrong."
But, I do find it interesting that popcorn was used. We in Illinois love our popcorn (new official state snack as of today).
