very interesting au, i really like the differences you came up with and how they wove into the world. I agree with you on first season Kolya, who never struck me as evil, but rather just very pragmatic and dedicated to his cause, so it was interesting to see that pragmatism played out to its very end. And your John was so miserable, which is always interesting. Nice job!

I love quantum mirror stories and this just hit the spot. And I believe Kolya was just a dedicated soldier that got shafted and that is what turned him to the "Villian" we see on the screen.

I really liked this. I was especially hit by how little it would take, a decision here a choice there to make things snowball until they are quite different from the things we know. And in the end how one decision would start the ball rolling back the other way. I wonder how many of our own conflicts started the same way?
