I, myself, have not read the full length of the translation for the reason that when I skimmed it, it didn't seem to pull off Gackt's tone very well, nor did it have any footnotes indicating certain nuances of

Thank you for posting this, it's so well put.

I have read that translation a couple times now, and I just couldn't bring myself to comment on it. As much as I want to believe it's accurate, I just can't.

it didn't seem to pull off Gackt's tone very well, nor did it have any foot notes indicating certain nuances of vocabularies.

I had the same feeling, like something was missing, something. And how could such a long translation not have footnotes? I can't fathom it.

I can't wait to read your translation! Then I can comment all I want. ^^ But take your time, and we will all be waiting when you are ready.

You caught me just as I made it a public post. I believe that there are facets of it which are most likely accurate, as Gackt does sometimes blow off steam (which was what I read he did in the comments) in his journal entries -- although I have heard that it was put in a 'blunt' way which I have never seen him to do. I also want people to know that he has stated that he will continue to produce music even if one last person is listening to him, so there is in no way he is going to quit his career if there is going to be even one of us fans remaining truthful to him

True, the facts and even the circumstances are probably accurate, but the tone is picked up in the details, and without a little help from notes, I can't get the full intent behind all of his words. You know, some people may not even care about tone and intent as long as there are some "facts" to latch onto...that makes me sad.

Now I have to go to sleep with a full stomach *that darn chocolate cake I was telling you about* XD XD

I agree with you there, and it makes me sad to see that as well. It seems as if fact is everything yet emotions and how a person -feels- is less important; especially in the case of what a person does when that person's feeling this way and believing in what he believes he should believe in -- if that made any sense.
