I went to the doctor’s office to one of the N.P.s (not my usual one but the one who diagnosed my COVID last month). The chest CT scan looked OK. I’ve taken off for a four-day weekend. We had originally planned to go to Sarasota to visit my mother-in-law at this time, and around late August I asked the boss for these days off. I went to the doctor’s office over lunch for a flu shot. I’ve decided to start getting these annually, now that I am of an age. My doctor said they give a more potent shot than the pharmacies. Curmudgeon has been trying to get the gutters cleaned for months. It’s hard to get anyone to do this job these days. Today’s guy gave us an estimate of $450. We’ll keep looking.

The AC/heating guy came for annual heater maintenance. He also replaces the filters while he’s up in the attics where the units are. To get to the one in the top attic, you have to perch precariously on the rim of the trap door, something Curmudgeon and I prefer not to do, so the repairman just takes care of it while he’s up there. Last night was the Dallas Stars home opener. In the past, we watched most Stars games on cable channel 676, the Bally Sports Network.
