I know what you mean. Boy, do I know what you mean. I have noticed that several people have been pining for the old Rec days recently. I think a lot of us have moved through whatever stage we have been in since then and are kind of looking for "what next...wait, what did I used to have?"
Haven't thought of a very good way to try and create that type of environment again. And you are right...who has the time/energy?!?!?!? Hell, doing Rocky twice a month throws me off.
That's pretty much exactly what I'm going through... trying to establish my identity again in a way... Then I think maybe I should make some new friends, but making friends now involves the family, not just myself... It's also not that easy...
It's funny to me how excited everyone got when they found out we were going to have a baby... I don't think anyone thought of the fact that it would mean we'd not be able to just bring him with us everywhere we used to go... and I've thought of trying to throw a party, but you can't really have a baby at a party.. and everyone would want to meet the baby... it's like a never ending cycle...
What we need is a GT at a big park.. ;) of course we need summer for that...
As a side note, I live across 694 from Mike and Kim Wielenburg, and I still don't ever see them.. I really have to get better about these things..
a year old?!?! damn! he'll be askin me to buy him booze in no time! ok, probably not, but, he'll probably be sending us all myspace spam at some point in the next decade! and seriously, how the hell did you get someone that cute out of pats ugly ass dna? just kidding, yer hubby is a cutie too:P glad yer family is doing good! Stay awesome darlin'!

I know exactly what you mean about having a kid totally changing your lifestyle.
Btw. Goober showed up at Rocky and handed me his phone. Tom Greenly was on the other end. He's a daddy now.
All my little rocky-kids are growing up. Eventually Cassie will be the one to make me officially grandma.
