So I did some calculations on my cellphone calculator yesterday. Though I'll only get a refund of like $350 in September, in January, because of my part time status (I'll only be writing my thesis), I'll get a refund check that will be equivalent to what I make (post-tax) in about 6 and a half months at the Strand.
