So, it seems that even with paying off my credit cards, spending at least $80 a weekend on going out, eating out almost every meal, and buying more Criterion DVDs than I could ever possibly need (no wait, I actually do need them for my thesis), my student loan money and the money I'm making at the Strand is not drying up at all. Last night at Union Pool, upon learning that     field_day had never eaten at The Olive Garden, I told her that I would take her on a date there so she can experience the true Italian-American dining experience.  I hope she takes me up on my offer.

I feel as if I'm becoming very belligerent. I must drink after class.

I'm eating a chocolate vagina right now. It tastes pretty good. This is the closest I'll ever come to the real thing.

I got the new Sleater-Kinney album from Todd Burns last night. It's so bad ass. If you ask nicely, I might share.

Though I never outwardly show it, I am quite giddy and excited today. I spent the last two nights with the Arcade Fire, and it was, as always, a remarkable experience. I don't think that any of their shows that I go to will ever live up to the first time I saw them at the Bowery Ballroom last year, but last night came pretty fucking close. ( Read more... )
