I'm still pretty much in denial that the thing happened at VA Tech, so I'm not going to really talk about that for awhile. I will say that D and my griping about student emails seems pretty trivial now

It was! I highly recommend taking a train when you can--the Pacific Northwest is quite picturesque as it is, and trains allow a great view.
