I have not yet posted about my feelings on leaving New York. I can briefly say that it was a bittersweet ending- not quite the shedding of responsibilities and inconvenient apartment living that I expected it to be. I spent my entire life not knowing that Chris McCandless ever existed. I was ten years old when he died, and it wasn't until the movie came out recently that I found out who he was.
