On June 29th, just a couple of weeks ago, I realized that I have been with FNAI for a year. Time has gone by quickly during this past year. I feel like I have gotten some good experience and I hope that in the future I will get to work on more challenging GIS projects and add to my skill-set.

Yep, I have procrastinated too long. There is no way that I would be able to do all I need to do by July 1st to get into FSU's geography program. And honestly? I was working the other day on putting together a summary table of all Florida Forever projects that might be impacted by sea level rise and what percentage of them might be inundated at a 2 meter and 3 meter rise.

I taught one of my bosses something today. How funny is that?

I have been working on combining a bunch of rasters the easiest way I knew how - by using the raster calculator to say merge(grid1, grid2) and then having the output have a value of 1 and a value of NoData (apparently the NoData is the important bit to have here). Well, I feel like I've accomplished something. I am finally done with all the priority 1-3 habitat maps. It took far longer than it should have. I imagine if I wasn't so anal about having to check and make sure every single EO was perfect then it probably wouldn't have taken as long. Oh well.
