Elliot's dance recital is 2 weeks away. We have had impromptu dance rehearsals every day this week. I'm going to have to put the nix on Monday so that we can meet baby Alex, er I mean Caiti, at Knott's. He is the center piece of the show though because he is the only boy in class. Béarnaise sauce with salmon and asparagus and a fish called "swai". Very good. Very healthy except for the amount of butter in the sauce. Needed more tarragon. I guess that is dependent on your tolerance for black licorice. Even I liked the salmon.

I find if I limit my actual daily to do list to 5 things I end up getting more than 5 things done which I can then add to my list and cross off immediately.

Gut kids' dresser!
Put away laundry
Clean/vacuum dining room
Buy 2 jars of gifilte fish
Iron kids' nice clothes for Passover tonight.

I spent most of yesterday sort of refinishing Tanguy's antique French writing desk. I wish I would have taken before and after pictures. I washed the thing down with Murphy's Oil Soap using a soft cloth, a super soft baby tooth brush and about a million q-tips.
