Just thought I would let everyone know that I have arrived safely in the US. I probably should have posted this a bit earlier but I got a bit side tracked with the parents. Well, I am mostly packed. I just have to put away the computer and pack the cables, and of course make sure I am not over limit with the bags. We shall see. Brilliant! I got this new program called Dragon Naturally Speaking 9 off the Internet. It makes typing documents really easy when it works. So far it's not too bad. Well, that's better. Andy now has his passport. So he can officially travel to the US now. So I feel a bit better now about the trip. Still need to sort out what we are doing when we get to the US. I finished. It's done, printed, bound, and turned in. Unfortuantely, it hasn't hit yet. So I still feel like it's there and I need to work on it. I suspose it will take some time till it hits. So, it's 3:32am, and I just finished editing chapter 1, 2, and 4. Now I just have to work on chapter 3 which is going to require the most effort. I also need to still write my conclusion and will probably end up having to cut about 1000 words of the thing from somewhere. *sigh ( Read more... )

I have finally finished with Chapter 2 and the graphs and the giant chart of death. Which means I have finished my dissertation with the exception of writing the conclusion. I have in total 19,725 words. Not bad really. That leaves about 300 for the conclusion and the editing that will be done. So I am rather pleased with that. Be the panic has now ( Read more... )

Finally! I have finally finished the cursed Chapter 4. Not bad for being stuck in bed for the past few days. I hate feeling poorly. Well, I've been somewhat productive. I applied for my Visa for the next 3 years. Still haven't gotten my chapter written, but I am getting there. I should get at least the next section of it finished tonight. Ordered two books online from Amazon that were recommended. Problem is they may not get here in time for me to correct the footnotes.
