I'm so crap with vocab, but I did some work recently.
As I read the 2nd to last story in my comic, I jotted down every word I had to look up (something that obviously I should always do, but until recently it would have been a slog). There were "only" ~92, which worked out to 4.5 per page. Which is a meaningless number without the numbers of words ( Read more... ) -

Anyway, first on the agenda: rewatch all of season 5 so far of Lost so I can see what the hell was going on. The quality of the broadcasts with my shitty homemade antenna was pretty craps.
My excuse is I'm sick.

Turning Vietnamese
Okay I just spent $7 on a used copy of Teach Yourself Vietnamese. I plan on warezing torrenting the audio component tomorrow, when my precious internet is returned to me.

Okay Roller Derby was pretty awesome. I didn't really "help" so much as "get in for free by standing around holding programs." it's a medium not a genre
Persepolis is probably the best animated film I've seen since Grave of Fireflies. Captures the book perfectly. Even the abrupt, somewhat unsatisfying ending. And it's in French*. But otherwise, wonderful.
*French is gay.
