Izzy's communication skills are increasing rapidly. Some of his recent words include...bubbles, more, milk, bear (teddy bear), down, mama, dada, roro (Frodo our dog), yogurt (yo), waffle (or at least the w sound), and ball. The best therapy for a crummy day is a big hug from Izzy...from the look on his face the moment he realizes that I have entered the room...his flapping arms like a bird trying to take flight to get to me...to the complete release of all his weight onto my chest with his head tucked under my chin. Well it has been awhile since the last posting...
Izzy is officially a year old!!!! We celebrated with family last weekend (see photos below). I guess you could say the theme of this birthday was music. I had a great time in San Fran. My trip started with a wonderful visit with my brother and sister-in-law. My brother took a day off and drove me all over San Fran. It was nice spending the whole day with him. The conference was good, I learned and schmoozed a lot. I also had a good time with USF colleagues during our Alcatraz visit ( Read more... )

My final submission is done!!! I didn't have any format changes!!!!!!!! If you have gone through this process you understand how tedious the formatting of the document is; possibly the worst part of the process.I guess my anal and compulsive review of my document this week paid off.

Yesterday when dropping off Izzy at daycare Ms. E said that Izzy is always laughing, he even laughs at the other kids when they are crying (she thinks that Izzy thinks the crying babies are laughing).
