first week back
I started back to work this week- thankfully it was a short week because they were some of the longest days ever! warp speed
Today I took my Boy (still a novel title after years of referring to my girls...)for a "trial" run at his day care center and I went to meet my class for the first time. All in all, it went alright. He cried a lot, but fortunately I never heard him. He was okay when I dropped him off and was not crying when I came to pick him up 3.5 hours later. ( Read more... ) -

big baby, hurry up!!
I have been busy, busy since getting back to Germany almost two weeks ago. I was here for nearly a week by myself which was the first time in forever I can remember having the house to myself. At times I was really lonely, but overall I enjoyed the peace. I read, did too many cross words, did a fair amount of lesson planning and even went to see ( Read more... ) -
hospital orientation
This evening the family met up for the English orientation at the German hospital where I will give birth. I guess I was thinking it would be a brief walking tour and a chance to ask some questions, hence the girls came too. Turned out that wasn't such a great plan and although they had lots of blocks and toys, there was an hour and a half slide ( Read more... ) -
long day
I am beat today! I took my class on a field trip to a science museum about 40 minutes away. I had lots of chaperones and so I was able to just wander from group to group and play and then move on. all clear
I had my glucose screening today. The flavor was quite good actually!!! Johannesberry- similar to currant. Not too sweet, slightly fizzy, and well, like the swedish softdrink they serve at Ikea actually. After the first screening, my sugar levels were still very elevated.
