Goddam I am jonesing for a good stiff drink. Problem is I don't know what I want. It's cold and damp now, so Gin and Tonic, lagers, pilsners, and light stuff is out. The rain and chill of the last few days has, I think, heralded the turning of the season. Gad, of all the things I inherited via my DNA insomnia is the worst ! Woke at 12:30am and laid with my eyes closed but my brain on until 2:30am, have been on the internet (doing nothing) since, it's now 6am and I'm no where ready to sleep. Bet I fall asleep in the middle of the day though. -
Battle of Newtown pt 2

Little metal rebels that is. Got a Sharp Practice game in at Games & Stuff in Glen Burnie. winterbadger provided the set up and ran two games simultaneously. The results of each will carry over to follow up games, well the British losses will anyway. Good to see john_arundel and the "boy" out and about as well. Well I pulled the trigger on the gift cards. I got Brigade Games Spanish mansion 3 building pack, walls, and Vixtrix British Foot Artillery. Becouse of my dithering they were having a sale and I was able to add another building. This all happened some weeks ago, and I'll have to wait on that extra building as he was out. ... well almost. I've pretty much decided on Brigade Games Spanish mansion and three building set, walls, and a box of Victrix British Foot Artillery for Peninsula War.

I have $150 bucks buring a hole in my pocket and I've decided to blow it on miniatures! This money is tied into two gift cards that are not redeemable for cash, and after several months fees are taken from them. So it's not like I can bank them or wait for an emergancy. Why was I not informed?
I've been watching Dowton Abbey and its fantastic! Someone told me the WWI scenes were "ok" with just a few with a few issiues. But he failed to mention the aggresivly gay footman, the Turk dropping dead in the really wrong place, and the interplay cut and thrust between the three elder "upstairs" woman!
