I've been watching the Super Bowl most of the day, which was unusual for me since I no longer follow professional football. How can looking forward to an event and watching it for twenty-four hours wear us out so much? Dear Oatmeal and I enjoyed the whole Inaugural but have been dead tired ever since. January 18 must be an auspicious day for baby girls who will grow into strong women to be born. My daughter-in-law is turning forty-three today and is an accomplished fabric artist and terrific mother to sons. May she have a grand year full of love and learning.
