Today at noon I will take my conducting final and will be done with my first semester here in Chicago. It's been really tough here even though overall I love being here.  WOW this thing still exists?

It's been a year and I'm proud to say that I have been accepted into a music school as a cello performance major. Funny enough it was to  a school that, looking back now, I had never listed on here. I'm a 2nd bachelor student at Roosevelt University's Chicago College of the Performing Arts. I am in a conservatory. Wow.

Do you ever have those moments where you just stop and question what you're doing? I had one of those moments as I was putting my cello away. finishing my 3rd or so hour of practice today, ended past midnight. I don't really like asking this. to me this question is filled with so much uncertainty. Of course there are times when it's simply unrealistic but more often than not I feel that people who are not ready are really just filled with lots of self doubt. my parents were in AZ my dad called me and asked me to fill the air in his tire because he thinks it's flat. at that same time i had just come back from a 4 hour rehearsal, and hour late for another one and one of my friends is in crisis. March is a time for things to happen. It is the time when winter changes to spring and for our dormant potential to spring forth and transform into positive things. For me, this means that i am waiting for my acceptance letter to UCI. I took a gamble and applied only to UCI for my 2nd Bachelor's degree in Cello Performance.
