Running!
Today I ran 3 miles without the binder! My first run without it, and oh, I didn't realize how much it was messing with my breathing until I ran without it. The run was a lot easier than last time I ran the same route, about a month ago. I think I'll be able to start increasing my distance... Remembering day of and day 1 after surgery
I wrote a post about this at the Make me heal forums, so I figured I'd put it here too... interesting to compare the memories I had from 7 weeks after... also nice to write things down.

2 days of fame?
I seem to have been spotlighted by Sparkpeople (again). There are so many people commenting on my page/blogs, so cool! I'm glad of the timing, few people who have lost a lot of weight talk about the surgery needed after.
I'm curious about the e-mail that mentioned me! -

I would say that my recovery from the abdominoplasty has been going perfectly. The skin was cut off, the scar is in an anatomically correct place, not too high or low. My belly button is a bit off to the left, and there are dog ears on both sides that might need revisions. The incision is closed up except for a 1/2 cm spot where there was a stitch ( Read more... ) -

Surgery Done!
Back at home. 2 percocets and a flexoril later, I am good. But good is temporary, as I discovered earlier today. Meds can wear off fast, and the pain is quite significant without them ( Read more... )
