Yesterday we took a trip back to the Oak Ridge Cemetery, still trying to find a grave good enough for some rubbings. Problem is they didn't use slate even for their oldest stones, they used limestone and such, which is very craggy and horrible for rubbings. Got lots of nice pictures, though. Spent the day staring out the window while willing my toes to defrost. Sometimes they and my fingers just get really cold, even when the rest of me doesn't. Picked Red up from work and then we drove down to the enormous farm house to let ourselves in again and take pictures. They, of course, won't be posted until I get home. C'est la vie.

Yesterday we left before six so Red could drop me off at the train station. I rode into Chicago on Amtrak and, after starting off a half hour late and losing another forty minutes to a freight train, surfaced from Union Station at 11:00 to 55 degree weather. Blissful.
