I'm in love.

The first half of today was spent being a slug. We watched two black and white Vincent Price movies and worked to find the energy to get up and do something. By afternoon we were headed downtown to look at some apartment buildings, one of which was very promising, and get milkshakes at Cold Stone. Both yesterday and today were days for driving around and getting to know Springfield. They were also both days for cemeteries. Boy, Red's brother, was cool enough to escort us to one of the major cemeteries here, where we found several cool headstones and a number of old ones we really liked. Yesterday a snake appeared in my garden. Nothing fancy, just a simple green snake, but our ecosystem isn't very welcoming for them. I can honestly say I haven't seen a snake this side of the protected parks in years. Unlike the iguanas who've infested our yards, but that's another story. My mother's a trip. Although I live here to provide a medical service for her (and my dad, lately), I pay rent for my bedroom, bathroom, some fridge space, and yard and babysitting services for the dogs.
