NaNo Triumphant!
I did it today! I made it to 50,000 words with Hypernia! I feel great, knowing that I pulled this off, and now I have to finish the story. I'm excited to see where it leads and how many stories I can get out of it.
I am really happy right now!

39k and Counting
This year's NaNo is going even better than expected and I'm much farther along than I was last year. I like the way the story is shaping up, though it's a great deal different than I originally envisioned it, which is good.

NaNo Begins
Wow, I am nervous. Here I am, year two of NaNo and hoping I can make the 50,000 word mark, though I'd like to be over that when I finish. I have this story in my head, but it comes in fits and starts. I hope tonight is one of the huge ones, so that I can knock down 1/5 of it or so before I fall asleep in the morning. NaNo is coming
So, I met with some of the people for Nano today, and it was pretty cool. I'm still debating over ideas for what I'm going to write, but the meeting was also part of the book signing for another Nano Author who has just been published. New ideas
As much as I love new story ideas when they pop into my head, I feel like I'm cheating on my original story by pursuing it. The Hypernia Series has been in my head for the better part of two years, but it comes to me in fits and starts. I'll be insanely inspired for a time, then I'll run into a block. I'm not dead! Still here. I'm working on changing some stuff up and getting back to my writing. Here's hoping!
