Happy

It was early when Tegoshi woke up to the sound of his mobile playing a cheery Christmas melody.

He groaned and snuggled into the pillows, pulled the blanket closer around himself.

Masuda opened his eyes slowly and looked at the younger one, their faces lying close. He nuzzled closer and laughed slightly.

“You’re not serious, are you?”

Tegoshi didn’t open his eyes. “Hm?”

“You rather cuddle up to that ball than to me.”

Tegoshi hugged the soccer ball closer to his chest. “I like it.”

Masuda reached out his hand to gently caress Tegoshi’s temple. “What good am I then?”

Still refusing to open his eyes, Tegoshi shrugged a shoulder. “I like you probably as much as the ball.”

“Probably?”

“Yeah, but I’ll get back to you when the ball gets old and just as every other ball.”

Masuda rolled to his back and laughed. “Nice.”

Grinning, Tegoshi crawled closer again and put his head to Masuda’s chest, holding the ball between them. “Massu’s always going to be here.”

“But you can’t kick me around.”

“I wouldn’t count on that.”

Masuda laughed again and put his arm around Tegoshi’s waist. “I’ll kick you back.”

“You’d never do that.” Tegoshi opened his eyes now, looking up to Masuda’s face.

“I wouldn’t count on that”, was what he got as an answer and they both grinned.

Then Tegoshi sat up. He wore a black shirt with long sleeves, most likely way too warm to sleep in, but he had insisted to do so. It had a skull in rainbow colours printed on. His hair was messy, most likely from Masuda’s hands, but he didn’t really care.

“I should give you your present.”

Masuda blinked at him. “My present?”

Tegoshi sighed and rolled the soccer ball in his hands. “It’s Christmas morning, Massu; that’s the time people get their presents.”

“If you’re aware of that, how come you got all of yours before Christmas morning then?”, Masuda wanted to know and sat up as well.

Tegoshi smiled sweetly and leaned in to kiss Masuda’s lips. “That’s just because you can’t resist me when I’m pouting.”

“You’re using my weakness?” The older one returned the kiss.

“No”, Tegoshi answered and drew back, climbed out of the bed. “I am your weakness, Massu.”

That was most likely true, Masuda thought as he watched Tegoshi leave the room. He fell back to the cushions and stretched, sighing happily.

Tegoshi didn’t come back and Masuda frowned, wondered if he should just follow, but instead he cuddled up beneath the blanket again and waited.

And feel asleep.

He didn’t know how long he had been sleeping, but as he woke up again, lips moved against his, made him return the kiss.

He murmured sleepily and drew Tegoshi closer, embraced him.

“Massu”, the younger one said gently and pulled away. “Wake up.”

Opening his eyes, Masuda looked at him and blinked.

“Merry Christmas.” Tegoshi smiled widely and pointed to the tray at the night stand. “Sit up.”

Confused, Masuda did as he was told and stared at the tray, as Tegoshi placed it to his lap. “What’s that?”

“Gyoza.”

“You bought Gyoza?”

Tegoshi laughed slightly. Masuda noticed he had changed into his clothes, his hair was made and he smelled of Masuda’s shampoo. “I didn’t buy it. I made it.”

Masuda looked at the plate, decided that it looked pretty good; then he noticed the glass of orange juice.

“You like fresh orange juice, so I thought I’d make some.”

He gave Tegoshi a worrying look. “I assume my kitchen looks like a battle field?”

Pouting, Tegoshi shook his head. “Not at all. I was really careful.”

Masuda tried not to let him see that he didn’t believe him at all and smiled. “Thanks.”

“Okay, eat up. I need to leave.”

“You’re going to see your parents?”

Tegoshi nodded and got up from the bed. “You should hurry, too. You’ll have to be at your parents’, as well.”

Masuda nodded. “Just for lunch.”

Smiling, Tegoshi bend down and placed a kiss to Masuda’s cheek. “I’ll see you tonight.”

Nodding, Masuda looked at him, as Tegoshi made his way out, blowing him kisses. He smiled and as he was alone, he looked at the tray again.

Gyoza for breakfast; he didn’t think he could do that. Even though he loved it.

Drinking the orange juice, Masuda decided that he would heat the Gyoza up later.

After he’d have cleaned up the kitchen.
