I have done some crazy things in this biology lab I am taking over the summer. We did DNA fingerprinting and I felt like I was on CSI. Then we genetically engineered some E. coli to have a peice of jellyfish DNA to make it glow. We also made it penicillan resistant, so beware my glowing army of invincible bacteria! I was in the intaglio studio from noon on wednesday until 6 am on thursday. That is 18 hours straight, with maybe two hours of meal breaks. Then I went home and slept for two hours, went back to school for critique and studio clean up and went home again at 2pm. that is the better part of 26 hours in intaglio. The school of art emailed me saying that I qualified to apply for a Fulbright grant due to my high GPA. I went to an information session today. A Fulbright is through the state department and gives you money to travel and study in another country for one academic year. I had a great spring break. Well, I got the essay done. It turned out decent I think, not great but decent. She said if we had a thesis we automatically get an A (I guess most students forget to have a thesis in their comparison papers), but I am not sure if she really meant that. I just saw on Kieth Oberman that at&t just started sending warnings to customers that say your contract can be terminated if you do anything to harm the reputation of their company.
