The rain knows
the river well,
the taste
of silt,
the sureness
of ebb
and flow

tears
though
salty
often
crave
oblivion
in fresh water
springs,
to be disolved
absolved
completely,
freed
from any
haunted
brine

Aparently, Vermont has some sort of art museum.
Prompted by a bit on VPR about some Georgia O'Keefe paintings on temporary display there,

for the first bird
