From an events announcement, "Our performers are a lot of fun to boot."

Sadly, the one time I went the really self-congratulatory and/or indulgent poetry and the enforced "you will participate in our religious ritual" did make me want to boot the performers *giggle*

they're a lot of fun to put a device on that makes them impossible to drive until they pay their parking tickets?

sorry, local meaning of the word. i'm being difficult. carry on.

yes, actually that would be a lot of fun :) Especially if I wrote the ticket from a jurisdiction that didn't exist so nobody came around to remove the boot. And we have car boots here too. This is civilization, after a fashion, you know.

hey! i was in no way implying anything about the level of civilization in those environs. i just didn't realise the popularity of adorning autos with metallic accessories!

wait! Is this a ritual I must now involuntarily participate in? Nope. Oh. Well, that's ok then.
