It's really laid back work, and I'd really like it if I was only paid more than minimum. I suppose though that it was only ever meant to be a job to tide me over until my co-op placement this

So about a week ago I was hired into Loblaws as a photolab techy. I like working with pix for a variety of reasons, but working for minimum wage at the same time really sucks. That means that when I got a call for an interview at Black's on Friday, I was surprised and even a little flustered

Thursday evening I went out to watch a movie with my brother. Apparently the only theatre in all of Ottawa playing the movie about Global Warming featuring Al Gore was the Bytowne cinema. It's certainly not what I'm used to in a theatre. They didn't have debit or credit available, and it was they only had one screen at the cinema. They were

I have at long-last decided what I'm going to be doing for the fall term. Tomorrow I'll be stopping by Carleton U's office of the registrar to confirm my eligibility for the fall term, and will then transfer credits earned in Guelph back to Carleton. Once complete, I'll be able to determine how many courses I am required to take at Carleton in

Back when I was a youngun, I went to a scouts camp named camp Opemikon near Perth for 1 or 2 weeks each summer. I can still recall the butterflies and anxiety I felt awaiting the bus that would transport me to camp. I was leaving behind my family, and for 2 weeks I'd have to build new friendships and learn new things
