Umm, sorry? Please stop with the wishing of pain... :-)

More seriously, have you tried calling HP customer support? I'd try and help you directly, but I'm not competent to fix this sort of thing. If customer service isn't helpful, please let me know and I should be able to escalate things for you.

I read miss_mimsy off of another friend's list as well. She's cool :-) Hooray for reading other people's friends list, sometimes my list gets too quiet :-D

heh...don't do it Griff!!!

The last time I called HP customer support I ended up having to do a complte re-format of my hard-drive...not because it was needed before hand but because of the "helpful" things they had me do once I called. =P Stupid HP support *pouts*

Nice to meet you. :)

Well, once I determined that the problem was, I fixed it on my own. The hard part was figuring out WHAT was spawning the window. It just blinks with no name for a split second and disappears. First I had to determine if it was triggered by something or was timed - I figured out that it was 15 minutes on the dot after about an hour.

So - I then looked at the processes in task manager. Listed 49 of them. At the 15 minute mark I paused the process screen and it totalled 50. I compared it to my list and the new process running was hptskmgr.exe.

Once I knew what was doing it - it was cake to shut it off :) No real need to call HP except to yell at someone for making software that takes you repeatedly out of full-screen mode, but I don't want to ruin someone's day like that. My real anger was that they made it so extremely difficult to figure out that it was them.

In other news, the game is gorgeous.
