So, the super-fresh Indian vegetarian party thing my mom promised will be postponed until I move into GSRI.

Everyone and their mom was at SoGo last night and it made me laugh because that doesn't happen in Europe. Also, Mike Foster Project rocks my face. McKinley is taking over this town.

So I'm back stateside. I've been up for about 24 hours (woke up in Amsterdam, now I'm back at home). Jetlag and all those wonderful feelings. I'll be calling around this week, I think, and should be moving in with some kids before too long.

And Cheri, you're in town? Since when are you allowed in the Rouge?

I'm in Amsterdam now and in a coffee shop. There was a burning christmas tree in the street and a guy in my hostel room is from Tokyo. That's all.

So, I'm in Paris right now and I spent New Year's Eve under the Eifel Tower. I think I win this one.

It's off to Amsterdam on the 3rd for fun times and...sobriety...hehehe.

Oh, and I saw Picasso today and realized what all the hype is about.

I'm in Pecs, a city in southern Hungary, about to experience my fist European Christmas. My friend Bogi invited me down and I'm here until I return to the Buda next week. From there I'm flying to Paris for New Year's (alone in the most romantic city in the world, but then again I'm a sucker for irony) and a few days of looking around before losing ( Read more... )

It's snowing in Budapest.

Tonight I went ice skating for the thrid time in my life, only this time there was a castle behind me. And they played 99 Red Balloons on the sterio. Sometimes it's pretty cool to be in a formet soviet state. I didn't even fall once.

It's already freezing...and it's barely November. So now I'm putting on a scarf, hat, and pea coat. Cold.

This weekend I went to the Keleti Blokk (East Block) with some of the guys from my dorm. I really needed to get away from Budapest for a while to clear my head and work on these heart troubles. It was the best trip I've been on thusfar. Things there really changed my prospective on poverty and, if it's possible, has thrown me even further left than ( Read more... )
