I've just spent twenty minutes renaming every contact on my MSN so that peoples usernames are their email address, and no longer the things they set as their display name. I'm sick of people who change it more often than their underpants, and people whos screen name takes up four lines of text in the chat window. I'd be sick of people who set ( Read more... )

About the MSN thingies: That drives me nuts, too. Both. I have smilies shut off, and generally I just don't talk to anyone that changed their names too often, because it's too difficult to keep track of who they are. That's why 95% of the time, my display name on there is "Thermal Undies." And those smilies are so very ugly.

I hate everything that associates with Christmas. I hate carols, I hate eggnog, I hate Christmas decorations, I hate all of that stuff... But I do like the exchanging of gifts and the being with family (as I've said before, whether it's my family or someone else's, I don't care, hehe).

And about that last bit. Don't feel like you have to post all of the time. Heck, most of the time when I post it's just to nag about something, or post something funny (I never have anything intelligent or worthwhile to say).

I say people should bottle up more and just learn to shut up. Keep your issues sacred. Keep your thoughts your own. That's a good idea and a bad idea. If you keep to yourself, and don't have an ( ... )

wrote a few years ago on LJ in fact about trying to find your own meaning of the occasion and to make the most of it

That's how I feel about it.. I think everyone should find something to celebrate in the "holiday season" (I mean, for us Australians it's summer, so we have the whole summer holidays to look forward to if we're in some form of educational insitution!) Me, I love the "be nice to people" vibe that goes on, I want more of that stuff :D

I hate when people's names are song lyrics. It's really pointless and surely you can do better than rip off some guy's song.

I hate Christmas too.
It's funny if you turn on Fox News, and people send emails saying: "I demand that the Congress cancel Christmas because a lot of people aren't Christian." And the host says: "Well, this is a Christian country and Christmas is an event that led to the formation of this country."

WTF? I don't remember Jesus signing the Declaration of Independence. "And He created America, and He saw that it was good."

I think people talk and rant too much these days. Too open. Too opinionated. I say people should bottle up more and just learn to shut up. Keep your issues sacred. Keep your thoughts your own.

Oh yeah, then we'll have great conversations.

"Heya Bob."
"Heya Hank."
"Great weather we've been havin', ay Bob?"
"Yeah Hank."
"Bye Bob."
"Bye Hank."

You might have to double check on this but, I think MSN contacts you can actually set it to display as e-mails without having to rename...
You must of had "fun" doing all that work =D
Christmas is alright, have fun and family togetherness spirit is there.
TV well you have all those Christmas cartoons which are the same every year and have the half the message right.
Funny how they forget about Jesus and its half about Gifts.
Anyways though I am not religious I still like Christmas in the family kinda way. =P
I doubt everyone writes every detail of what happens in their life or what they feel on a live/public journal.

Exactly my point =D
Ask any little kid and the answer will be Santa, and if you wanna be mean, tell em the truth that the red santa is a product of the coca-cola company.
.oO(Hmmm I wonder If those Santa suits have "Product of Coca-Cola Company" written somewhere)

It's probably branded onto their asses upon manufacture.

I hate religion and I hate Christmas. Heh...I'm kind of a modern day scrooge...Except for the fact that I like gift giving, I just hate holidays.

I think my name has only ever not been 'brook' about 3 times in all my years of msn

I dunno why cause I've never even really liked my name...guess I'm just lazy or lack imagination (probably both)
