Thirty + Years Of Hookin'

Some thirty odd years ago, I was a new mother with an infant son who placed the ususual newborn constraints upon my free time. This is "Mousie". He represents the victory of crochet addiction over sleep deprivation, and has survived thirty-five plus years, and almost as many moves. Been waiting for weeks for Guav to get these up. We took the pics when I was down visiting him in April. The pineapple afghan is gorgeous in person. Very fancy.

I'm so touched that Guav cherishes Mousie so much that three decades after I made the little rodent, and dozens of moves later, he still has an honored position on Guav's couch!

Ohhh...is that the mousie that got washed when it shouldn't have...hehehe!

That blanket you made for them is beautiful. Someday, I am going to come to New York just so you can teach me how to do that!!!

Thanks! I started another QUiltghan...the Double Wedding Rings pattern, but ran into trouble with the directions. Soooo, I started this one instead. Much to my chagrin. Each corner section alone took fifteen patches.! That's a lot of sewing together once all the squares are crocheted. Yup...there's a lot of love in every stitch in that afghan!
