Today I drove to the pleasantville traIn station, cause Kristin lives right by it and after class I'm gonna go see her, Vinny & their appartment they've lived in since June that Ive never been too.
Driving around the mountain past West Point scared the shit out of me. Your on a one way road on the side of a mountain with those cement rails. It's ( Read more... ) -

Today is my last back to school :)

Yesterday I hugged the only living sibling of my grandpas, the women who introduced my grandparents at the end of WW2. She stroked my hair with tears in her eyes and told me how good I looked, while we stood along side the casket of her husband of 60 years. One of my uncle joes.

When I was younger Veterans Day was always the day we'd take Grandpa out to have breakfast. That's all it really meant to me. I just got done sending out text messages and emails to all people of my generation, wishing them all a Happy Veterans Day with a thank you. And later I'll be taking my boyfriend out to dinner.

My accident was 3 1/2 yers ago, I was told to prepare to take 3 years off of college. I took one...
I just signed up for a meeting with my advisor, to make my last class schedule for college. Sometimes I get so down on myself, because Im not that good at taking tests and I have to write down EVERYTHING. But it's moments like this that make me ( Read more... ) -

Today in psyc we learned that if you damage the association part of your brain, you loose the ability to spell things backwards.
& then we did a class excercise where we worked that part of the brain. And I learned that I cannot spell things backwards.
Pretty amazing.

The first day and I get to psych and she does a brief over view of what we will be learning. She mentions how if part if the brain is injuried that part never works again, it sparks a discussion amongst the whole class. I felt myself start shaking as she explained to the class how the brain is an amazing thing, and while it will never work the same ( Read more... ) -

I went to my Dad's 30th with him last night, and had a great time...
26 years from now, I want to be able to walk into a room full of my old classmates with my child...
and have them recognize a lot of them, because some of you are "aunts" and "uncles"
