LJfind, despite what they say, seems to be able to have access to some friends locked posts, such that you can read the entire post. (test it yourself if you like...I found several that I KNOW I shouldn't have been able to read ( Read more... )

Damn it...I know I adjusted that...but its possible I have this thing set for automatic friends locking unless I say otherwise.

Mine is set that way. To make a public post, I have to make the post, then edit it.

Mine is actually set for showing it to just me. I edit it to change to friends or public. I decided I didn't want to make a mistake and over-allow something, so my default is the most restrictive setting.

It may, however, I was viewing posts through LJfind that came up as insufficient permissions through LJ (while logged in).

And then there are those of us who simply figure that anything we put on LJ, ultimately, can somehow be made public - and who generally write accordingly.
