The "move" part of this move is finally completed, with everything offloaded. What remains is unpacking, cleaning, organizing, and discarding that which should have been discarded in Kansas City. So, MRI yesterday was... different. Never had one before. Didn't expect to be put into a space smaller than a coffin. Didn't expect a bout of anxiety about 4 minutes in, but I shut my eyes, practiced deep breathing, and got through the rest of the exam with only a couple more minutes of tenseness due to anxiety ( Read more... )

Radiograph showed nothing abnormal in terms of bone spurs, arthritis, etc. Nothing that is likely causing the right shoulder pain, restricted range of motion, and diminished strength ( Read more... )

Yesterday, while driving along the highway, up ahead I spotted some small red gobbets of something in the roadway, along with reddish streaks on the road surface. Typically, when I see this sort of scene, it means an animal has met an unfortunate end on the road, and these are remnant bits of flesh, not yet squashed into nothingness ( Read more... )

So yesterday my doc was, um, less than impressed with the shoulder's range of motion without pain - especially once he held the shoulder joint in place, so I couldn't partially compensate with my scapula. (Which I wasn't even aware I was doing.) We can't tell how much of the pain is tear, and how much is impingement ( Read more... )

The Move (tm) continues apace. House closed. Glenn is already moved in, with about 1/3 of our stuff, thanks to his and Lothar’s efforts. Luckily, nearly everything in the foreclosed house works - which means we really only have a few repairs to make. That was a very interesting weekend! I hope I never see Glenn's blood pressure get that high, ever again.

On the other hand, it appears we put in a bid on a house yesterday. Just not the house we thought we'd be bidding on. If we get it, I'm certain this will all work out for the better!
