Yeah upon rereading it this isn't actually the worst thing I've ever read. There are even parts of it that I really like, which almost never happens!

But overall it's still a disappointment. HOPEFULLY THE SEQUEL WILL BE BETTER.

gardenparsley was right and I am so glad you put this up.

You have an unbelievably sensual and beautiful writing style without making it overfrilly -- and your writing's so assured that you made me believe every moment of this, and you also made me want to read more, which is this bizarre talent you have that you can sketch out a world in a couple of pages and pretty much tell me everything I need to know about John and Karkat and the others. I love how this world is a little grimy; I love how this world is a little heartbreaking. And there might not be all that much porn, but it's hotter than hell.

Whole world full of frayed little things is a perfect way of putting it as noted above -- it totally made me want to read more. I want to find out about the hilarious rambunctious smoke'n'coke life Terezi and Dave lead together and about how the fuck Karkat ended up in this situation and that is all your writing, because a fanfic can be good and it'll make me enjoy it but it's your writing that opens up doors like this.

All the support is totally genuine: reading your stuff just gives me this happy fanfic high, and seeing that you had posted something new I had to draw out the reading of it. I got up and made tea twice just to prolong the experience.

It's not even partly awful. It works so well as a worldbuilding narrative and a fully-fledged story. You have never written pornfluff, man. I have the same problem where I can't write porn without writing a story around the porn, and then suddenly there's no porn and I just have a story, and I am busy having flappyhands over how I went into this JUST WANTING TO WRITE THE PORN GOD DAMN IT

I know, right??? My mind immediately went six places trying to explain it, which is always an enchanting thing in fanfic. And Nepeta! In a place called the Cathouse! And Eridan owns a new stripper's club, and Dave and Terezi really don't want to meet him for some reason, and Dave and Terezi are regularly kicked out of brothels! And and and!
