As many of you know, I work 12 hour rotating shifts at my job. Also, as most of you know, the average temperature of the shop is 100 degrees F at night and hotter during the day. I have had an extraordinary week. Highlights included:

1. Working an auto shift at the ports
2. Enjoying Sake Bombs for the first time.
3. Karaoke in SoCal for the first time.
4. Three great days in San Francisco
5. A morning of doing absolutely nothing.

It was great.

I've been reading a biography of Truman Capote. Although I wish I could say I was hip enough to read it before the movie came out, I'm not. Heck, my Mom let me borrow it. But it's an interesting read, and I relate to it more than I had thought I might ( Read more... )

Powdered gatorade is flammable. At a temperature just above 1000 degrees, it burns like an onion at Benihana.
