someday, i will take that vow of silence. i will take it and hold it on my tongue until i cannot feel it burning.

Life slowed down today, and, now, I realize that's what I needed. I feel like I can make it to whatever my next destination is smoothly. Thank you to everyone who sent me your love and best wishes...really. It means more than words can even begin to approximate.

My grandfather is going in for more surgery on Sunday. There have been so many "last times" and "final goodbyes" that I'm not sure what mortality is anymore. Or maybe I am more aware of it's nature than ever before. I guess there's a lot I'm unsure of right now - which is fine, but it's easier when I can say that everything is okay ( Read more... )
