I knit a doll.  It's based on a pattern for Noah and Mrs. Noah and the entire ark.  I was thinking of keeping with the biblical theme and knitting a naked Adam and Eve.  They'd have to be African, and I don't think I have any brown yarn.

I'm tired of the extreme cold. I'm glad we finally got winter. We had a very sickly, spring like december, but this is a bit much. Before I go to the farm I need to get:
1. Really warm, well insulated gloves
2. long underwear
3. a ski mask ?
4. an electric blanket to keep myself continuously wrapped in

Im going to see these people about a winter internship http://www.sproutcreekfarm.org/index.html I hope it works out...  I hope I'm not lonely.  It's more than just a couple doing it.  They have programs.  That's what I'm encouraged about.  The Ohio farm where I was was in the middle of nowhere with not much going on.  

Okay, I forgot where I saw this, but I think I'll try making some.  You should too if you can crochet or knit.

I think it's a bit ridiculous that I've had someone's spinning wheel on loan for a year now  and I haven't done anything with it.  I asked for wool for christmas to try to remedy the situation. Sooo...
Does anyone know of a web source for good Corriedale? Someone local raises Columbia sheep and has roving for sale, has anyone tried spinning this? ( Read more... )
