As I Approach The End Of Advent...

Last week, hapaxdaughter told me in sorrow that she wouldn't be able to follow our tradition of lighting an Advent wreath with daily readings and prayers, because open flames are (sensibly) prohibited in her college dorm rooms.

I am proud to be an Episcopalian, but grow more and more ashamed of the Anglican Communion.
I find it hard to imagine a God more concerned with what's between my legs than what's between my ears. -
Did I do anything this month but read?
Well, in fact I've been horrifically busy with both work and personal stuff. But looking at the list of "books read" I've accumulated, it looks like I've been just sitting around sipping port, nibbling chocolate, and flipping pages.
It's a nice fantasy, at least.
