Hey, so Saturday was The Winter Festival of Pie, the only holiday of the year completely invented by me! This year was the year of people showing up early and then leaving. But there was a big crowd at the beginning of the night. I will attempt to recall who all was there: Brien, Kristi, their two friends Gerald and a woman whose name I forget, _iain

Everyone I've talked to about TWFoP has been delighted and enchanted by the idea. Some appreciate the non=religious aspect. Most are just tickled by the idea of a pie potluck.

As far as the nonreligious part, you know the whole thing started after I once tipsily said, "I've got more faith in pie than I do in Jesus."

Sometimes I think it's a shame that TWFoP comes but once a year, but considering the decadence it's probably alright that it's a once-a-year event. I'm glad you're doing your part to spread the pie enchantment!

Alas, I do not have the recipe...My friend Iain has made his cheeseburger pie for the last three years or so and he keeps improving it every year.
