So I need to make a baby registry.

It occurs to me, that I have no idea what goes in a registry, and that I'd better sort through all the stuff I've been receiving so far to have an idea of what to put on it.

Things I know I DO have:
Crib
Carseat
Breast Pump ( I hate those two words together though I'm grateful for the device.)
some cloth diaper covers

Some of these are basic, some not so much. But even some of the not-so-basics made life SOOO much better ( ... )

I'll take advice too. :> But thanks for the list! I'd totally forgotten about a diaper bag, and that seems sort of crucial. And a bunch of things on there.

Nipple pads (hide the leaks)
Nursing bras (not for registry, but need to have)
Milk storage bags
Vaseline
Baby thermometer
Vaporizer
Stroller

.. I think I need to take another walk through the breast-feeding section of the Babies R' Us.

Milk storage bags?

And all that other stuff is definitely important. Especially the first one. (Yuck.)

There's not much point of pumping if you don't have somewhere to keep it until it is needed, is there?

I thought it sort of went into the bottles, and just stayed there.

Home Depot has a bridal registry, so it makes perfect sense to extend the concept to babies. Sometimes, you have to do a few home improvements to accomdate new family members....

Otherwise:
Tot Locks
electrical outlet covers (we have these to help prevent accidents with curious kitties) A "baby gulag" and/or baby gate to help keep upwardly mobile tots confined
grooming kit (with nail clippers)
Towels and blankets?
I'd also advise that if you have a color scheme and decorating theme going that you are allowed to specify the types and color of linens and things....

Maybe the easiest for the paint thing is to ask for Lowes or Home Depot gift cards for "baby room home improvement".

Good luck!

A friend went with me to Babies R Us to help me with my registry. If you'd like, I'd be happy to go with you to give you my perspective ( ... )
