Seminar in Indexing and Abstracting A-

Cumulative GPA for your little graduate - 3.89.
I am a little peeved about being 1/100th of a point away from 3.9, but I am lucky to have received an A- in Indexing and Abstracting considering that ( Read more... )

Is it a two player game? I wish I had a DS so that I could practice Spanish with you!

I'm so, so proud of you and your mastery!

It is a single player game, sadly. William stocked my DS with games to make me smarter. After this, I want to try the French one.
You should get a DS! It is the best toy.

I am applying to Library and Information Science programs now for Fall 08. I hope you liked the program?

Eh. I didn't go through the best program, but that is because I decided to go to the most convenient program, and I didn't want to move away for library school.

I feel like the biggest deciding factor in getting a position is experience. Experience is so important. You don't want to find yourself on the other side of a library degree without having worked in a library, so you want to consider that aspect. The irony being that it is much more difficult to get a job at a library when you are surrounded with library graduates. Of course, you can always go off to school and get a job with the institution you are attending, and that would be good experience.

If you want to do something special like archiving, then you will want to go to a special school like Austin. Would you be going to UCLA? That is a good program!

I want to get into archiving. I've been interning for the American Poetry Archives in sf for the last year, and that seems to be the direction I'm being pulled. I would like to go to UCLA, but I'm also applying to university of washington, pratt, and simmons. We'll see if any of them decide to take me in. I must have missed Austin's program, though. There seems to be new ones popping up left and right, I'm already out of date, stuck in the final application stages. If you have any suggestions as to how to survive this whole ordeal, I'd be glad to know.
