This one was a jewel thief, ex-military cool guy, black ops kind of thang. I've always thought Elizabeth Lowell was a really good writer. Writing with her husband Evan as Ann Maxwell is just as good.

The Passage by Justin Cronin . I tried. Story was intriguing. Writing was well done. But at 700 plus pages and considering the high "creepy" factor, I had to put it down just short of one hundred pages - I've got to spend time on other things. Bet it will make a great movie, though!
