    I have this sense of 'rightness' - I always want to act in a principled way.  Today presented an example of how this sense influences me: when my box of Blue willow china arrived today, I noticed that it had cost $17 to ship.  I only paid the Ebay seller $12.  My sense told me to send them five more dollars and I did.  I hate feeling taken ( Read more... )

    This was a change in perspective: a cheat day has 1600 calories in it, most of them good.  I wasn't going to have any of the crock-pot eye-round beef but it looked so good and I stopped and thought that it would go along well with the tomato-basil beans I fixed.  And who can resist homemade Challah? and home fries?  I kept the portion sizes ( Read more... )
