I love documetnaries. i prefer nature, history, archeology or palentogy but will watch just about anything I see more then two seconds of. See, I have what I call cursed birds. Birds that are relativly common but I never seem to see them. One of these is the Black Scoter which winters on the Great Lakes every year. Today, Toronto passed a bylaw outlawing the sale of shark fins! I am so happy about this. Yes, shark fin soup is a traditional chinese delicacy but it's been proven that we can't harvest sharks in a sustainable manner and shark populations are dropping alarmingly! Ah is there any better sight than Marg and Grant waiting for me outside of customs with a cup lo Timmies coffee. So happy to be home. Had a fabulous time at Furfrighta nd visiting friends. Will post more on that tomorrow. right now I'm just glad to be home with my family and my cats. Going to hit the hay soon!

Made it over the border and landed safely in Boston. Kam was sweet to pick me up and deliver me to Sara, then we all headed out for Mexican. Got a tour of Kam and Kay's new house then Sara and James'. The animals all were happy to have company and me and Diana crashed early. Well that was an exhausting weekend. With Marg on layoff we are making an effort to do a better food budget, so we hit the farmer's market early on Saturday and bought a peck of tomatoes and red peppers, along with a huge bag of hamburger. It's unseasonable cold out there,with a high wind. Makes me glad that I don 't have to go out. Made up a nice big pot of stele cut oatmeal and served it with cream and raspberries.
