I forgot to add on my pro/con lists that a pro for both HS's is that school starts at 9.

A con for the elementary is that it starts at 7:45, and I am *so* not a morning person. Ugh. The thought of having to leave the house every day by 7 makes me cringe.

I know, I know...I don't ever update. I don't know why. I check LJ at least once a day...I just never feel up to writing.

Anyway, I'm currently in somewhat of a wonderful delimma. ( Before I explain it, I'm going to give a little background info for those who haven't been in close proximity to me for the last few weeks and therefore haven't heard me bitch about it. )

Other than that, not too much to report here on my end. I've been crazy busy with end of the year school stuff. I can't freaking wait for summer. 15 more days w/ kiddos. 15 days. Oy.

Update on the kiln: everything turned out ok. Several of the glaze projects look kinda weird because the temp was high for too long...and a couple of things dripped onto the shelf, but nothing bad. A few projects cracked that probably wouldn't have if fired normally, but no major explosions, and no glaze on the kiln itself. I mostly just caused ( Read more... )

Today was ok until 7th period...that class alone made me hate middle schoolers today.

I need a big drink.

And movers.

And a maid for my classroom.

more money would be nice, too.

So, I was a dumbass and promised my students that we'd do clay in January. Heh. We started it today - Jan 30th. Thing is, I'm *soooo* unprepared. I lost it about 1/2 way through the day yesterday...which is OH, so much fun when you're a teacher. Ugh. When I was growing up, I had one really good friend that I've known for as long as I can remember. Literally. I'm sure we met in school...but it was super early, like in kindergarten or 1st grade.
