For William's birthday, we sailed to Amsterdam. Where do you work?

Also, Todd wanted me to ask you; why did you move overseas?

I work for the ambulance service, as an Emergency Medical Systems Operator (call taker). I work 12 hour shifts (day and night alternating) 3 or 4 days a week, alternating. I get 8 weeks paid time off a year, which is why I frequently have 2-3 weeks off at a time.

We moved because Will is a dual citizen- US and UK. Neither of us wanted to stay in the US, and he always intended on moving here so when we got together he let me know that, and I was totally onboard with it. Moving to England has given us the opportunity at a better quality of life.

I was just talking with a friend about that last night with all the freedoms Europe has compared to the United States. We have such petty laws here! And Europe really takes care of their citizens whereas America doesn't. European tax dollars go to take care of their country first and then everyone else. American tax dollars go towards everyone else first and then us. How backward!

After talking with Natalie, even I wanted to move to Europe! I'm not much for travel to other countries because I'm afraid of a culture shock and not being able to understand people.

Why the frown?! Australia is far too expensive, and far away! Trust me, we both want to go, but we agreed if we ever did we'd have to dedicate a month to the trip. It's too far to go for just a week or two!
