Amsterdam
For William's birthday, we sailed to Amsterdam. On the way there, I surprised Will with a picnic on board (pate, smoked trout, 5 types of cheese, 3 types of charcuterie-type meats, olives, grapes, apple, baguette, quiche, chianti, and chocolates) which he described as "the most thoughtful gift" anyone has ever given him. Paris and future travels
Paris was...wonderful. I love that city. Everything about it is great. It's easy to navigate, easy to get around, tons to do, see, tour, eat, buy and experience. ( Some of my favorites... ) -
Happy Birthday to me...
I'm 23! We're not doing much of anything today, because we're going to Paris next weekend to celebrate. I am so excited. We're staying near the Pantheon in the Latin Quarter, and the whole thing is going to be gastronomic and retail heaven for a solid 96 hours. Tynedale Beer Festival 2009
Beerfest in Corbridge was class. Drinking alcohol in a field 20 miles along the river, taking over the train, and getting way drunk. Ciders with 7.3% alcohol per half pint are wonderful. So are huge groups of boys who love nothing more than listening to my American accent and buying me more cider. Hah, silly drunk English boys <3 So glad I know -
August holiday
Pretty sure we're going on holiday to Africa to ring in my 23rd year on Earth. Tunisia or Egypt-- I can't decide. -
Job
I get 8 weeks paid holiday a year. Whoo!!!
