i've graduated. in sweden, at least, and theoretically in california as well. it was one of my very best days here. a start to summer, an end to a group of people i've grown to cherish. maybe we don't know each other as well as i'd wished, but i don't think we'll ever forget each other completely.
i've been busy lately. finishing school (graduation on friday!), fika, hanging out with the family and friends, the sea, picnics, parties, allt möjligt.
yesterday AFS took us sailing--except we used the motor instead of the sails.
this weekend was beautiful like any other in which i actually do stuff. it involved my swedish family, swedish friends, AFSers and volunteers, some random brasilians that decided we needed a party! and a great atmosphere. among other things (like seeing my host sister therese's 3-day-old baby, moa

sankta lucia is this amazing swedish holiday about a girl who brings light in winter. actually, the catholics apparently hate lucia and killed her by cutting up her stomach--and that's why she wears a red ribbon around her waist--but sweden loves her because she wears a crown of candles and sings, making everyone happier in wintertime. so lucia is
