In the stress of our move and transition, we took the kids to the Seattle Center to play in the fountain. It was packed with families and couples of all ages, ethnicities and sizes all having fun in the sun under the benevolent gaze of the Space Needle. Jimmy Hendricks blasting through the speakers was the perfect finishing touch.
In my quest to honor my yearly focus, (recognizing and communicating my needs taken from Cheryl Richardson's book, Life Makeovers) I decided to re-schedule my weekly appointment as vocal coach at a local high school to later on during the week instead of this morning. I just knew I had to watch the Inauguration "live". I am so glad I did

I swear, writing bios is one of the hardest things for performers to do. It is so hard to write glowing descriptions of yourself and your work. You just need to come out and say, "I am the shit!" and "Hire me now!" or, "Come to my show!" or "Aren't you glad I'm singing at this thing?
